Bennett, 74, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston, Idaho. He was born March 13, 1926, in Winder, Franklin County, Idaho, the son of George A. and Elizabeth Moore Bennett. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He contributed to the missionary fund. He loved watching major league baseball games and he enjoyed music — especially Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. He was a very dependable, hard-working individual. He worked for many area farmers. He is survived by three sisters and one brother, Erma B. (Marion) Winn, Salt Lake City, Utah, Floyd A. (Barbara) Bennett, Winder, Fern B. Wells, West Valley City, Utah, Zelda B. Teuscher, Eagle, Idaho, and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Carl and George M. Bennett, and by two sisters, Vera Martin and Alberta Millington. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday in the Winder LDS Church with Bishop Tyler Johnson conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
