Id Obits Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits?read=159 Surname: Carlson, Gibbons, Frank ------------------------- The Logan Herald Journal 06-29-2000 PRESTON - Dorothy Frank Carlson, 77, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at the Bannock Memorial Hospital in Pocatello, Idaho, with her family and friends by her side. She was born January 1, 1923, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Oscar Tempest Frank and Anne McCullock Frank Gibbons. She married Norman H. Carlson on Sept. 3, 1941, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized on April 27, 1944, in the Logan, Utah Temple. She loved the outdoors- camping, hunting, and her greatest love was fishing. She loved spending time with her family in the mountains. She was a very talented person and she enjoyed painting ceramics, needlepoint, and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in earlier years she taught in the Primary. She enjoyed being with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Norman, of Preston; a daughter, DeeAnn (R.B.) Nelson, Preston; a son, Norman Terry (Donna) Carlson, Sandy, Utah; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and by a sister; Norma (Joseph) Burton, Bountiful, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Errol Frank. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 1, in the Whitney 2nd Ward chapel with Bishop David Beckstead conducting. Friends may call Friday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
