He was born Nov. 5, 1942, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Jose M. and Petra Prado Garcia. He married Frances Mendoza Garcia on Oct. 5, 1961, in Preston, Idaho. He was a truck driver and mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping neighbors and friends. He is survived by his wife Frances, of Preston; four sons and four daughters, Richard Garcia, Preston, Terri (Rod) Ames, Preston, Jess (Theresa) Garcia, Preston, Rita (Terry) Belew, Preston, Becky (Mike) Hulse, Thatcher, Idaho, Francisco Garcia, Preston, Pete Garcia, Preston, Martin Garcia, Preston; 15 grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Mary (Manuel) Meza, San Antonio, Texas, Benito Garcia, Nampa, Idaho, Lydia Gonzales, Laredo, Texas, and Eliberto Silos, Laredo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Ricardo Silos. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, in the Webb Funeral Home Chapel, 109 E. Oneida, Preston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lewiston, Utah, Cemetery.
