Id Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits/215 Surname: Brower, Manning ------------------------- The Deseret News 10-10-2000 Samuel Thane Brower, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2000, while visiting his daughter in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born October 24, 1920, in Weston, Idaho, the son of James Bertram and Mary (Grace) Brower. He married Wilda Manning on June 2, 1945, in Preston, Idaho. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on April 21, 1995. Thane retired from Salt Lake County in 1987. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted family man and was dearly loved by his family and friends. Thane had a passion for gardening and shared the fruits of his labor willingly with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved life, had a great sense of humor, and delighted in teasing. His passing will leave a void in many lives. Survived by his wife, Wilda; three daughters, Shari (Dean) Wisdom, Lone Tree, Colorado, Teresa Whitney, South Jordan, Utah and Maureen (Don) Kunz, Pocatello, Idaho; one brother, Maynard Brower, Coos Bay, Oregon; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, two brothers and one grandchild, Tom Whitney. Services Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at 12 noon, Highland View Ward, 2980 So. 2790 E. Friends and family may call Wed. evening 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 So., and at the Ward one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 E.
