He was born May 23, 1928, in Franklin, Idaho, to P.L. and Lillie Atkinson Robinson. He was raised in Franklin on a farm and was a member of the last graduating class of Franklin High School. He had four brothers and four sisters. He married Loene Bagley on Sept. 2, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple and together they had three beautiful children. His family was the center of his life and he always wanted the best for everyone. He was employed by E.G. Earl as a fuel driver for five years. He went into business for himself as a service station operator in 1956 until his retirement in 1993. His wife helped him as well. He was a member of the first Richmond City Fire Dept., Richmond City Planning and Zoning Board, Richmond Lions Club, and was president of the Smithfield Kiwanis Club. He was instrumental in getting lights for the Richmond softball diamond and he coached the women's softball team. He took pride in his yard and he was an avid outdoorsman. He was a faithful home teacher and was involved in scouting for many years. He became a temple officiator in 1997 until the day before he passed away. He is survived by his wife, Loene, of Richmond; by two sons and one daughter, Grant L. (JeriJean) Robinson, Ogden, Utah, Lynette Lewis, Richmond, Utah, David (Lynette) Robinson, Richmond, Utah; eight grandchildren, Lance, Shaun, and Chandler Robinson, Tara Harris, Justin and Shane Lewis, Monica Robinson, Marci Heil; four great-grandchildren; by his mother-in-law, Nellie Bagley; by sisters, Mary (Del) Lewis, Vada Spackman; and by brothers, Jay and Howard Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; by two sisters, Maurine Bateman and Georgia Bair; and by two brothers, Jack and Don Robinson. Louis will be loved and remembered by all for his support as a father and grandfather, for his devotion as a husband, and for his unconditional love for everyone. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, in the Richmond 2nd Ward chapel, 150 S. 100 East, with Bishop Wyndon Ward conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, Idaho, and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church in Richmond. Interment will be in the Richmond, Utah Cemetery.
