He was born Feb. 11, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Rodney S. and Doris Irene Bird Jensen. He married Janet Holley on Sept. 17, 1959, in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from the University of Utah Law School. He was the prosecuting attorney for eight years and city attorney for two years in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He spent four years as the public defender for Bear Lake County. He also practiced law in Phoenix, Arizona. At the time of his death, he was practicing law in Preston. He was a member of the Preston Lion’s Club. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple for the last two years. He is survived by his wife, Janet, of Preston; four daughters and one son, Lisa T. (Rod) Puckett, Ogden, Utah, Karrie Jo Jensen (Dr. Brett) Mooso, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kimberly Jensen (Dr. David) Bowman, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Justin Gary (Shauna) Jensen, Murray, Utah, Amie Jensen (Michael) Ballard, San Diego, Calif., 15 grandchildren; and by two sisters, Marcia Jensen (Bill) Brown, Henderson, Nevada, and Shirley Jensen, Montesano, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, David Jensen. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2001, in the Springville, Utah City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida St., Preston, Idaho.
