She was born November 23, 1908, in Swan Lake, Idaho, the second child of twelve born to Franklin Davenport and Vilate Walker Hendricks. She married Carl M. Jones on June 23, 1926, in the Logan Temple. They were later divorced. She married J.D. Welling in 1950. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed sports especially softball, bowling, and golfing. She was a beautician owner and manager for many years. She is survived by her three children, Colleen Martin, Preston, Idaho; Carl LaMar (Valene) Jones, Rexburg, Idaho; Geraldine Niederhausern, Preston, Idaho; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and by a brother, Glen Hendricks, Sunset, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, by eight sisters and two brothers, by two sons-in-law, Robert Niederhausern and Burt Martin, and by a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at noon in the Preston Eighth Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 East, with Bishop Kevin Sharp conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
