He was born to Val Layne and Etta Mae Carpenter Buttars on July 21, 1961. He was a graduate of Preston High School. The loves of his life were his three sons. Todd was married to Jill Dahle and gave life to Chancey and Brady. He was later married to Stephanie Powell and they were gifted with a son, Cody. Todd also found a best friend in Diane Bergeson. He is survived by his parents, Val Layne and Etta Mae Buttars, Preston; brothers and sisters, David (Sheryl) Nelson, Nibley, Kathy (Steve) Andrew, Nibley, Terry (Joyce) Buttars, Pocatello, Alana Buttars, Preston, Denise (Barry) Sohn, Clifton, Idaho, Julie (Jeff) Olsen, Preston; his loving sons, Chancey Buttars, Logan, Brady Buttars, Texas, and Cody Buttars, Preston. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. You are gone but not forgotten. Not a day goes by that something does not happen that reminds us of you. We love and miss you and pray you have found peace and happiness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Whitney Second Ward Chapel, Whitney, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
