She was born on March 30, 1917, in Franklin, Idaho, a daughter of Ezra and Malinda Jones Fuhriman. Helen worked at Intermountain Farmers for 37 years, starting as an egg candler alongside her mother and eventually becoming the office manager/bookkeeper. Her hobbies included handwork and cooking. She was famous for her cinnamon rolls and pies. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She will be remembered for her quick wit and good sense of humor. She always took a great interest in her nieces and nephew’s children and they all loved her dearly. Before taking residency at the nursing home, she was a member of the 15th Ward where she worked in the library. She is survived by five nieces and nephews, Gary (Helen) Lindquist of Palm Coast, Fla., Nancy (Gerald) Summers of Syracuse, Utah, Lewis F. (Helen) Fuhriman of Boise, Idaho, Diane (Larry) Perkes of Hyde Park and Linda (Fred) Lee of Pleasanton, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lewis and Mark and by a sister, Adria Lindquist. The family wishes to express thanks and appreciation to the staff at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care, friendship and love shown to Helen. A graveside service will be held at the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho, on Friday, July 12, 2002, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan, from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be alongside her parents at the Franklin Cemetery.
