She was born August 23, 1916 in Weston, Idaho to Grover Cleveland Thompson and Harriet Ann Lloyd Thompson. Ione graduated from high school in Preston, Idaho. Her early years were spent in Idaho and Wyoming. She has lived the last 60 years in Washington Terrace. Ione married Russell A. Bair on July 19, 1937 in Blackfoot, Idaho. Their vows were solemnized July 12, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. Ione was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had been employed as a supervisor at Ogden Poultry. Ione is survived by her sons, Eldon R. (Nancy) Bair of Roy; Ronald W. Bair of Clearfield; Brent E. (Janet) Bair of Washington Terrace; and Rodney C. (Sarah) Bair of Liberty. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist"s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Lindquist"s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Manor Care for their loving care.
