She was born October 23, 1919, at Oxford, Idaho, to Golden Hyrum and Dolly Edith Kendall Green. She graduated from Clifton High School, Clifton, Idaho. She married Melvin Ray Gambles July 15, 1936, at Logan, Utah. He preceded her in death January 6, 1997. She and Melvin owned and operated Alameda Confectionary from 1940-1957. She enjoyed her flower garden, and she had always had a beautiful yard. She enjoyed family get- togethers and especially enjoyed grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of Radiant Chapter No. 61, O.E.S., having served as worthy matron, and of Daughters of the Nile. She helped with March of Dimes. When her daughter Peggy was in school she was very active in PTA and school functions. She was an excellent seamstress. vShe is survived by one daughter. Peggy Lou (Earl) Gunter of Pocatello; three grandchildren, Brad (Susan Abbey) Gunter, Michael Ray (Sandy) Gunter, and Shawn Lee (Tracy) Gunter; four great- grandchildren, Josh, Stephanie, Cody and Vannessa Gunter; and one sister, Dorothy Anderson of Mulino, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, with Joseph Willes conducting, and with ritualistic services by the Radiant Chapter No. 61 Order of Eastern Star. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello.
