She was born May 16, 1924, in Richmond, Utah, to Harvey B. and Clara Sorenson Wilding. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many capacities. She was employed with Kmart for 17 years and upon her retirement she worked part-time for 7 Eleven. She had also served in the PTA Auxiliary for many years in Salt Lake City. She lived in Cub River since Aug. 6, 1993, when she married LaVon Bowman. She was a valiant caretaker to her husband until the very end. She was an avid reader and she loved books. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, and a very special Granny P. and Grandma Lyle. She loved to meet people and was such a people person. She is preceded in death by her parents, by a brother, Cecil H. Wilding, a sister, Evelyn Bowman, her first husband, Earl W. Hansen, and her second husband, Stanley S. Pitchford. She is survived by her husband, LaVon; by two daughters, Janet (Dennis) LeFevre and Suzan (Breck) Denham; grandchildren, Dana & Matt LeFevre, Britt & Tristin Denham, a great grandchild, Jorden Denham, and by a brother, Glen S. (Jeanne) Wilding. She is also survived by her wonderful second family who were so good and loving to her, and by numerous nieces and nephews, 26 grandchildren and 37 great-granchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mapleton LDS Church in Cub River with Bishop Max Sharp conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Richmond, Utah Cemetery.
