He was born February 21, 1910 in Mink Creek, Idaho to Christine F. Hansen and Hans Jergen (John) Rasmussen. He married Nona Ann Brower November 21, 1932 in Ashton, Idaho. On February 15, 1933 their marriage was solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. He was a member and a High Priest in the Monroe Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prior to entering the care center. He was best known for his expertise as a meat cutter, butcher and sausage maker for 50 years of his life. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and trapping in his retirement years. Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Don (Lynn) Rasmussen, Plain City, Utah; Gary (Joyce) Rasmussen, Roy, Utah; Vern (Bobbie) Rasmussen, Farr West, Utah; NaDean (Bob) Tolman, Roy, Utah; 23 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty (Mark) Albertson, Ashton, Idaho; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Nola) Brower, Ashton, Idaho; Harmon (Shirlene) Brower, Clinton, Utah; Royal Womack, Logan, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nona; his parents; also half brothers, Viggo Nelsen, Lars, John, and Jimmie Rasmussen; his half sisters, Karen Marie Steffensen, Lizzie Hansen, Louise Hansen, Helene Hammer, Mary Marie Larson, Elizabeth Black, Regena Bennett, Alena Skinner, Martina Shelmerdine, Melvina Messenger and Louise Smith; two grandsons; one step granddaughter; and one step great-great-granddaughter. A viewing will be held Friday, July 5, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ashton First Ward Chapel in Ashton, Idaho.
