During her childhood she lived many places in Eastern Idaho. She lived with her family in house in Island Park where moose, elk and grizzly bears were regular visitors. She lived in the farming haven of Cache Valley and later in the Salt Lake Valley. Due to her mother"s illness Sherry helped raise her younger sister who she always thought of as part daughter, part sister and part friend. She was always happy to help when someone needed a helping hand. She shared her goodness unreservedly. She met Claine D. Hope in 1961. They married in October of 1965 and had three children. She was wife, mother, friend, teacher, confessor, judge and jury. She held her loved ones to a high standard, instilling values, morality, curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, generosity and a desire to make the world a better place. Sherr loved trees and flowers. She loved the mountains, and being a Western American. An avid reader who devoured books like food, Sherry passed this love for books and learning on to her children and to anyone she came into contact with. She spent the last years of her life in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Her body was not strong enough to keep up with her mind and she died on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 of complications due to emphysema. She is survived by her husband, Claine, of Sunset; her children, Michelle, James, and Kelli, all of Jackson, WY; Larry of West Haven, and Val of West Point. Sherry had one brother, Ronald H. Cole of Ogden and one sister, Mariellen Cole of Kaysville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Newman and Dora Idelle Anderson Cole of Weston, ID and her aunt, Eva V"Lee Anderson Cole of Bountiful, UT. She will be missed more than words can say. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Weston Idaho First Ward Chapel with Bishop Glade Schvaneveldt conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
