Wanda graduated in 1930 from Utah State University in the field of Home Economics. Her first teaching position was in Victor, Idaho. The winters there were cold and long and she told of riding in a horse-drawn sleigh over snow drifts that were taller than the fences. On November 22, 1961, she married Ralph Herbert Vetterli in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Ralph lived in Fresno, Calif., until 1972, when they retired to Logan. Wanda was active in the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries at both the ward and stake level. She served as a stake missionary in Fresno and along with Ralph, worked in the Logan Temple as an officiator. Ralph passed away in September of 1992. As Wanda's health deteriorated it became necessary for her to enter the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logan. There she was cared for by the many kind workers and nurses at the facility.
