She was born on April 15, 1939, in Weston, Idaho, the daughter of Jack and Alta Eudora Anderson. She attended school in Weston and Dayton. She married Floyd Porter on June 4, 1953, in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Lewiston for many years and have lived in Smithfield for the past 18 years. She was a member of the LDS Church. She taught Primary for many years and loved being with and teaching children. She worked various jobs over the years, but the jobs she enjoyed most were at Lewiston Drug Store and Beehive Answering Service. She was an avid reader and had a never-ending thirst for knowledge. She gave her all to everything she did. She is survived by her husband, mother, and four children: Rochelle Owen, Smithfield; Sondra (Bill) Spicker, Clinton, Utah; Kelly (Sharon) Porter, Post Falls, Idaho; Sheila (Jeff) Sagers, Ogden, Utah. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom were the joy of her life: Ryan, Tyson, Amanda, Stephen, Ashley, Holly and Annalee. Also surviving is one brother, Steve (Loila) Anderson, Weston, Idaho, and one sister, Marie (Garry) Carter, Elwood, Utah. She was preceded in death by her father and one daughter, Drenda. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at in the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho. Friends may meet the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main St., in Smithfield and from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
