She was born February 2, 1917, in Weston, Idaho, the daughter of Hulda Lundquist Nelson and James Nelson. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Byron Hall on June 15, 1934. During their married life they lived in Lewiston, Cornish, Utah, Weston, Fairview, and at the time of her death, in Preston, Idaho. She has been an active member of the community, including a member of the PTA, a 4-H leader, and dedicated member of the daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a leader and teacher in many organizations of the LDS church. She and Byron were dance directors, and they loved to square dance. She enjoyed cake decorating, quilting, painting, and reading. She has always been a hard worker, and remained devoted to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Byron, of Preston; five children, Gerry (Karla) Hall, Roger (Venice) Hall, Dixie Hall, Kathleen (Rick) Olsen, and Judy (Jeff) Phillips; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Hall; two sisters, Rachel Lott and Verda Archibald; and four brothers, Chester Vincent, Alvin, and Dee Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2002, in the Preston 3rd Ward LDS Church, 155 North 200 West, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, Preston, and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the 3rd Ward LDS Church. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery.
