Id Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits/252 Surname: Williams, Jones, Butler ------------------------- The Logan Herald Journal 11-27-2000 LEWISTON, Utah - Patricia Louise Jones Williams, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born on Sept. 19, 1920, in Portland, Ore., a daughter of Arthur Jordan and Adele Butler Jones. She spent her early childhood in Chicago, Illinois, and then moved with her family to St. Louis, Mo., where she completed her education. In 1942 she met Thomas Edward Williams at a barbecue hosted by her mother for some local GIs. They fell in love and she followed him to Langley Field, Va., where they were married on Nov. 27, 1942. After their marriage, Thomas went off to World War II, and Patricia moved to Massachusetts, then to Ohio, and later to St. Louis where she awaited his return in 1945. After his discharge from military service, Patricia and Thomas made their home in St. Louis for six years, later moved to Virginia, and finally to the Bay Area of California where they lived for 18 years. In 1974, they moved to Lewiston, Utah, where they have resided ever since. Patricia was an expert doll maker and has displayed her dolls to school children and other groups throughout Northern Utah and southern Idaho. She enjoyed music and had a particular love for opera. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pat is survived by her husband, Thomas; two children, Margorie Gay (John) Soderstrom, Mountain View, Mo., and Jordan Thomas (Karma Jean) Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Bowen Jones of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Jordan "Cookie" Jones, and Margorie Wynn Jones. Funeral services will be at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at the Lewiston 3rd Ward chapel, 16 S. Main St., with Bishop Thom Smith conducting. Friends may call prior to services from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery.
