Id Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits/227 Surname: Boyd, Meyers ------------------------- The Logan Herald Journal 11-02-2000 PRESTON, Idaho - Elizabeth Fanny Meyers Boyd, 86, affectionately known as "Tootie" and/or "Liz," our beloved sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend, was called home by her Father in Heaven on Oct. 31, 2000. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Pella, Idaho, the daughter of John M. and Jessie V. Meyers. She married her sweetheart, Luther B. Boyd on May 27, 1934, and they made their home in Preston, Idaho, in beautiful Cache Valley. She is preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; by a brother, John; and sisters, Shirley and Barbara. She is survived by her sisters, Vera (Dan) Howarth, Boise, Idaho, Lois Nash, Preston, Idaho; a sister-in-law, Sara Meyers, Buhl, Idaho; a brother-in-law, Charles R. Martin, Gold River, Calif.; and by many loving nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a beautician and owned the original Preston Beauty Salon which she loved. Later she and her husband owned and operated the O.K. Tire Shop in Preston. She loved the outdoors and along with her husband was an avid hunter, who always got her limit and sometimes a little more. She was a passionate golfer and bridge player. She worked hard to make the Preston Golf Course a reality and was their first ladies president. She had a heart of gold, she always had time to visit, her meals were the "best" and she always wanted to feed you. She loved her family unconditionally and was always there when anyone needed help in any way. Her home was the focal point of many family gatherings and reunions. Thank you for the precious time and lasting memories you have given each of us. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, Preston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Luther, immediately following the funeral.
