Id Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits/242 Surname: Barthlome, Pond, Cox ------------------------- The Idaho State Journal 11-19-2000 Lysle Pond Barthlome, 82, passed away Friday, November 17, 2000, at the Portneuf Valley Hospital in Pocatello. He was born March 2, 1918, at Thatcher, Idaho, the son of David Oliver and Lucille Pond Barthlome. He was raised and educated at Grace, Idaho. He had worked all over the U.S., but he considered Grace his home. He married Geraldine Cox on October 15, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Lysle was a high priest in the Grace LDS First Ward. He was also a home teacher. He and his wife have been officiators in the Logan Temple for four and a half years. He had worked on Road and Pipeline in construction. Lysle loved horses but especially his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of Grace; two sons and one daughter and their spouses, Edward and Randie Barthlome, Littleton, Colorado; Bud and Linda Barthlome, Soda Springs; JoManda and Boots Lish, Soda Springs. Surviving also are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters, Wilma Webb, Vernal, Utah; Thorn Barthlome, Grace, Idaho; Blaine Barthlome, Ogden, Utah; Alice Wright, Pocatello; and JoAnn McBride, Mackey, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parent and a brother, Keith Barthlome. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 20, at 12 noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center with Bishop George Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Monday at the Stake Center in Grace from 10:20 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Thatcher Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
