She was born Jan. 16, 1945, in Montpelier, Idaho, the daughter of Thomas Carl and Vera Downetta Smith Jensen. She married Lyle B. Christensen on May 10, 1963, in the Logan, Utah Temple. The most important thing in Ruth Ann’s life was her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various positions. She loved music and performed at the Rotary Christmas concert for many years. She enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, camping, and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Lyle, of Mink Creek; two daughters and two sons, Julie Ann (James) Cooper, Patterson, Calif., Lyla Ann (Roy) Dettmer, Preston, Idaho, Phillip J. (Krysta) Christensen, Preston, Idaho, Bryan Lyle (Lisa) Christensen, Preston, Idaho; three grandchildren; by a brother, Paul T. (JoAnn) Jensen, Preston, Idaho; and by two sisters, Lee Ester Newton, Citrus Heights, Calif., and June (Burrett) Clay, Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday in the Mink Creek Ward Chapel with Bishop Jim Harrison conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Mink Creek, Idaho Cemetery.
