She would have been 93 on May 9. Henrietta Mae Bosworth was born May 9, 1908, in Diamondville, Wyo., to James Henry Bosworth and Jannette Dunbar Horne Bosworth, the seventh of eight children, one of whom died in childhood. The family moved to Preston, Idaho, when Mae was a young girl, where her father died in 1920. When Mae was 18 years old, she met and married Chancy George Dockstader on Sept. 1, 1926, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a recently returned missionary, having served in England. They made their home on a ranch in Mink Creek, northeast of Preston. They had three children: Keith Chancy, born in 1927, LaRae, born in 1930, and James DeMont, born in 1932. Heartache struck early for Mae, as her beloved husband died in September 1941, after a short illness. Mae married Earl Davis in 1943; he died in 1982. Mae was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 14; she remained active all her life, holding several positions in each auxiliary. She worked as a bookkeeper until she was 70. She loved to oil paint, especially butterflies, and she crocheted shawls for each of her grandchildren. Mae is survived by one son, Keith, and one daughter, LaRae; and by 12 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 29 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, DeMont, by two stepdaughters, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and six sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, April 6, 2001, in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, with Bishop Steven Fuller conducting. Friends may call tonight, Thursday, April 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Webb Funeral Home, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Burial will be in the Mink Creek, Idaho Cemetery.
