She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Cleveland, Idaho, to John Austin and Agnes May Moore Ransom. She married Paul Davis Kershaw on Nov. 22, 1934, in Preston, Idaho, and together they had three children. Paul passed away Jan. 31, 1975. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was involved in all the auxiliaries. She had a great love for genealogy, and she kept in touch with family members in England. She enjoyed all kinds of handwork, camping, traveling, cookouts, oil painting and family gatherings. She is survived by her children, Pauletta Edwards, Twin Falls, Idaho, Paul William “Bill” (Myrna) Kershaw, Kent, Washington, Linda (Jerry) Baird, Preston; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Spillman, Logan, Utah, Faye Oliverson, Preston, and June Galloway, Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband, by her parents, by a brother, John Ransom, a sister, Nellie Tarbet, by a grandson, Paul Warren Edwards, and by a great-grandson, Christian John Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2001, in the Preston Third Ward Chapel, 155 N. Second W. Friends may call Friday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Idaho Cemetery.
