Davis 02/21/02 Email this story to a friend FRANKLIN — Joseph Lloyd Davis, 71, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2002, at his home in Franklin, with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Linrose, Idaho, the son of George Wendell and Eleah Woodhouse Davis. He married NaDean G. Seamons on Nov. 16, 1952, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He served his country in the Army. He loved to stay busy, and he loved to bake. He enjoyed gardening and could grow the biggest potatoes ever. The most important things in his life were his family and the church. He loved going to the temple and doing temple work. He made friends with everyone. We will miss you greatly. He is survived by his wife, NaDean, of Franklin; by a son, Neil (Carol) Davis, Franklin; a daughter, Phyllis (Fred) Smith, Hyrum, Utah; by six brothers and one sister, Charles Ray (Florence) Davis, Montpelier, Idaho, Clyde W. (Amber) Davis, Byrle, Utah, David W. (Shirley) Davis, Inkom, Idaho, Golden F. (Ida) Davis, Bountiful, Utah, James D. (Dixie) Davis, West Valley City, Utah, Norma Jean (Eddie) Marsing, Centerville, Utah, John Reid (LuAnn) Davis, Pacheco, California; 13 grandchildren and by 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Leo, by his parents and by three brothers, Reese, Dean Lamar and George W. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, February 22, 2002, in the Franklin Stake Center, with Bishop Robert Moser conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Feb. 21 at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Burial will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
