He was born Oct. 23, 1905, in Grace, Idaho, the son of Arie Kryn and Alberdiena Wasseur Van Denakker. He married Florence Bollwinkel on July 12, 1929, in Soda Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was sealed in the Logan Temple on May 16, 1945. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, carpentry, electric work, and plumbing. He loved to help others. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as first counselor in the Grace Second Ward. He and his wife were dance directors in the MIA. He was a high priest at the time of his death. He is survived by his children, Theone (Ed) Nelson, Pocatello, Idaho; and Wayne (Gloria) Van Denakker, Ogden, Utah; six grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, by his parents, and by four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Whitney, Idaho Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Greg Griffeth conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Thatcher, Idaho Cemetery.
