She was born January 11, 1910, in Fairview, Idaho, the daughter of William and Etta Nelson Owens. She married Ralph Edwin Cole on January 22, 1936, in the Logan Temple. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1977. She was a hard worker and she enjoyed sports, especially baseball and basketball. She liked to travel and go fishing with her grandsons. She also enjoyed handwork- quilting and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Morris (Tami) Cole, Soda Springs, Idaho; Rebecca Lynn (Jim) Havins, Amado, Arizona; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, by three brothers, Eldred, Charles (Chuck), and Morgan, and by three sisters, Serena Snyder, Berniece Smith, and Gladys Merrill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston Eighth Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 E., with Bishop Kevin Sharp conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Whitney Cemetery.
