She was born April 27, 1916, in Thatcher, Idaho, to Roy Wright and Myrtle Neeley Wright. She attended primary schools in Thatcher, then attended Idaho State University for two years. She married Melvin C. Williams November 19, 1938, in Pocatello, Idaho. She worked for many years in medical records at Bannock Memorial Hospital. She also worked for many years as a school secretary at Jefferson Elementary. Her husband passed away August 9, 1988. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed quilting, reading, animals and camping with her family. She loved to play bridge, and had beautiful flower gardens. Her family and many friends enjoyed her kind and gentle nature and her love for travel, which caused her to be open for new adventures. Surviving are two daughters, Kaye (David) Rose, Idaho Falls, and Claire Williams, Olympia, Wash.; a son, Gordon M. (Kathy) Williams, Syracuse, Utah; sister, Norma (Andy) Wright Mayhall; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services on Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountainview Cemetery in Pocatello at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
