She was born June 1, 1928 to Eugene and Anona (Larsen) Oliverson in Mink Creek, Idaho. She married Gerald E. Simmons on July 3, 1949 in Mink Creek, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She was an active member of the L.D.S. Lomond View Ward and held many positions. She had served in the Relief Society, Y.W.M.I.A. and Primary and had also been a worker in the Ogden LDS Temple. Surviving are her husband, Gerald; children, Edward E. (Tonya) Simmons, Ogden; Sue Ellen (Mike) Wistisen, Brigham City; six grandchildren, Chauntelle, Misty, Brandon, Mandy, Shane and Blake. Also surviving is one brother, Elmer Oliverson, Preston, ID. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden where family and friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Mink Creek, Idaho Cemetery.
