He fought a painful and courageous battle with cancer. Bryon was born March 25, 1973, in Logan, Utah. He is the second son of Scott R. and Janis B. Buttars. He grew up in Weston, Idaho, in a home with loving parents and siblings. He was always a happy child and enjoyed life with his two brothers, sister, parents, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He spent a lot of time on the farm and at the dairy with his father and grandfather. There he learned the lessons of life and how to work. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His father baptized and confirmed him a member March 28, 1981. His father ordained him an Elder on Oct. 17, 1991, and in 1992 he received a Mission Call to the Nashville, Tenn., Mission. He entered the mission home April 1, 1992. His brother Shane was serving a mission in Florida at this time as well. Bryon served an honorable mission and returned home on his birthday, March 25, 1994. Bryon attended grade school in the old Weston Grade school and then attended the West Side High School in Dayton for his junior high and high school years. He enjoyed school and made many lasting friends there because of his great sense of humor and ability to get along with people. He graduated from West Side High and Dayton LDS Seminary in May 1991. When Bryon returned from his mission he helped his father on the farm and dairy until they were sold. He then went to Tremonton to live with his brother Shane and to work at Thiokol and AutoLiv. Bryon met Jami Davis and they were married Dec. 5, 2003. They have lived in Garland, Utah, with their two boys, Trevon Scott, and Hadley Bryon. Bryon has always been a good dad and had taught his boys to be honest and well behaved. He has encouraged them with their school work and has been very proud of them. He loved his wife Jami and the boys dearly. He has always enjoyed being outdoors. He started as a little boy going to the ranch with his Grandpa Bastian and loved exploring and fencing with his brother Shane. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends and taking his boys with him. Bryon always seemed to handle whatever life handed him and usually with a smile and positive outlook. He is survived by his wife, Jami; and their two sons, Trevon and Hadley; his parents, Scott R. and Janis Buttars; his brothers, Shane C. Buttars, Matthew V. Buttars; a sister, Bridget (Spencer) Beckstead; his Grandparents, Perry and Joyce Shumway; and Grandmother, Elsie Bastian; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends who love him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Rolen V. Bastian. Private family services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 1, in the Weston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, in Preston, Idaho. Published in the Logan Herald Journal from 4/28/2007 - 5/5/2007.
