JacoBson WESTON - Peter Rodney Jacobson, 63, passed away in Preston, Idaho, with his family by his side on Monday, April 23, 2007. He was born January 4, 1944, in Logan, Utah, to Weldon Rodney and Wanda Godfrey Jacobson. Pete was the oldest of eight children. He was born with cerebral palsy and walked with the aid of crutches his entire life. He fought a courageous battle with many health problems, and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He graduated from West Side High School in 1962. He attended Steven Henagar and Idaho State University in business education. He was the caretaker of the Weston Park for many years. Pete enjoyed life to its fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family. He had a love for all sports and particularly enjoyed the West Side Pirates, Utah Jazz, and umpiring church ball. He enjoyed driving his car around Weston daily. Pete is survived by his siblings, Roger (Netta) Jacobson, Ogden, Utah, Marna (Harold) Trowbridge, Nessa, Ore., Welda (Dick) Buttars, Clarkston, Utah, Bart (Sherry) Jacobson, Weston, Idaho, Lana (Roger) Gundersen, Dayton, Idaho, and Karla Jacobson, Logan, Utah; 37 nieces and nephews, who he loved like his own children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and a sister, Charlene. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Weston LDS Chapel, with Bishop Darrin Thornley conducting. Friends may call Thursday, April 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, in Preston, and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church in Weston. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery. We would like to thank employees at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center for their kindness the last month. Also, we would like to thank the nurses at Logan Regional Hospital Infusion Center for their years of kindness and friendship.
