He was the fourth child born to James B. and Jane (Easton) Jenson on September 10, 1919, in Winder, Idaho. Clyde married Erma W. Hobbs in the Logan, Utah temple November 19, 1941, and they moved to Santa Monica, California, where he was a foreman for Douglas Aircraft. Clyde entered the Air Force in 1944, and served two years. After completing his service, they moved to Pocatello in 1946, where he attended Idaho State College for diesel mechanics. After completing his schooling, he went to work for Garrett Freightlines, working for them for the next 38 years. As a 40-year member of the International Association of Machinists, he served in many positions, including local president. Clyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings such as member of the high council, Sunday school president, elders' quorum president, high priest assistant, singles representative and Scout leader, serving the Scouts for 30 years. Clyde is survived by his wife, Erma Jenson; sons, Robert C. (Mary) Jenson, Memphis, Tenn., Blair H. (Mary Lou) Jenson, New Baltimore, Mich.; a sister, Argene Arthur, Idaho Falls, Idaho; a brother, George Easton Jenson, Reno, Nev.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marie Gassman, brothers, Lloyd and Jim Jenson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, October 26, 2000, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Interment will follow at the Preston Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Preston Veterans Honor Guard. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Boy Scouts of America.

She married Clark Alexander Mickelson February 20, 1935, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple, and they made their home in Lago, Idaho. Helen is survived by three daughters, Helen Lovene and Duane Bitton, Lago, Idaho, Joan and Arlen Meacham, West Valley City, Utah, Ethel and Clayton Brough, West Valley City, Utah; and two sons, Roger Clark and Beverly Mickelson, Lago, Idaho, Willard Harris and Dixie Mickelson, Pocatello, Idaho; and 25 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark, her parents, and all her brothers and sister. Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 25, 2000, at noon in the Niter LDS Williams Ward Chapel. Philip Hawkes was born in Preston, Idaho, and lived in Riverside, Calif., for the past 32 years. He worked for the Fontana Unified School District as a Special Education teacher for 18 years before he served as a high school counselor for 14 years. Philip served an LDS mission to Germany from 1960 to 1963. he was active in the scouting program. He was assistant academic football coach for AB Miller High. Phil was an avid reader and loved water sports and traveling. Philip E. Hawkes was survived by his wife, Roberta Jewell Hawkes; his three children, James Hawkes of Logan, David Philip Hawkes of Tempe, Ariz., Shandis Marie Hawkes of Riverside Calif.; his mother, Roma L. She was born May 6, 1911, in Mound Valley, Idaho, the daughter of William Campbell and Nancy Anderson McGregor. She married Lorin John Panter on Feb. 23, 1934, in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived their whole life in Mound Valley, Idaho. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked as secretary in the Primary, as a Sunday School teacher, a counselor in the MIA, president of the MIA, and she served on the MIA and Sunday School Stake Boards. She also served many years as a Relief Society visiting teacher and she and Lorin served a mission officiating in the Logan Temple. She was active with youth groups and the 4-H Club. She won many gold medals and ribbons for her cannery, baking, and sewing. She won trips to Portland, Ore., and Chicago, Ill., placing first in her entries and judging at regional and national competitions. Lola was a master seamstress working several years as senior seamstress at Logan Knitting Mills. She is survived by her two sons, LaMar McGregor (RaNae) Panter, Thatcher, Idaho, Lorin Spencer (Gay) Panter, Pleasant View, Utah; one sister, Ora Schafer, Preston, Idaho; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and by five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorin J. Panter, by her parents, and by five brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, in the Thatcher LDS Church with Bishop Tod Jensen conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. He was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Harley and Mabel Greaves who owned the Greaves Style Shop. He has one brother, Keith, who is 3 years older and is a retired physician in Salt Lake City. When he was young he had a pony named "Teddy," whom he loved dearly, and if his friends would take a swath around with the lawn mower (his job was to mow the lawn) he'd give them a ride on the pony. He started to play the oboe in 1934 and was in the Preston Band and Orchestra and placed first in district and regional contests in junior and senior high. His picture was on the front of the "School Musician" magazine (which he never let his friends and family forget) and he was awarded a scholarship, but his love was always medicine. Harley was president of his senior class in high school and because of his height he did not play sports but was the athletic water boy for the basketball team and to this day that is his favorite sport. He attended the University of Idaho at Moscow. He was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Blue Knights as well as the school orchestra and president of the Junior Class. In his senior year he was sent to medical school early because the war was on and he spent four years at George Washington Medical School getting his medical degree and another year as a resident at George Washington Hospital. While a junior in medical school, he married Ralphine Stub, his childhood sweetheart and two years later they had a son, Ralph Creig. Harley took a two year general residency at Ventura County Hospital and then the family moved to Blackfoot, Idaho. After six months there, he joined the Air Force during the Korean War and became a flight surgeon and was stationed in Austin, Texas, and South Africa. In 1953, he and his wife and son moved to San Diego, California, and went into practice with Ralph L. Coleman in Ocean Beach. In 1956, they had another son, Terry Scott. He was a founding member of Doctors Hospital where he became chief of staff in 1963. He was the doctor for his son's little league teams and other ball teams. He also examined the Boy Scout troops, basketball teams, and Mormon missionaries in his ward. He was recognized for his service in the community in 1982. He was a caring physician never saying "no" to seeing any patient any time day or night. He made house calls on weekends and holidays. He loved his patients and they all loved him. Medicine was his life. He retired in 1991 as his eyes were getting bad and after that his health began to fail. He also dearly loved his family. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston. Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.

William was born December 25, 1933, to William DeLacy and Julia LaVon (Jepsen) Baird Jr., in Mink Creek, Idaho. He was raised and educated in the Mink Creek area, and attended Preston High School. He married Beverly Spackman, and together they had three children. They were later divorced. He married Francine Porter, and together they had six children. During his lifetime, Bill worked as a logger for Bear Lumber and as a heavy equipment operator for LaGrand Johnson. Bill belonged to the American Legion and VFW. He served one term as commander of the Preston chapter. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, traveling and loved fast horses, faster women and smooth whiskey. In his younger years he was known as "Wild Billy B." She was born on July 7, 1917, in Richmond, Utah, to Myrtle Day and Bartlett Martin Nash. She was raised on the family ranch near Franklin, Idaho. She attended school in Franklin, with the exception of her senior year, graduating from Preston High School in 1935. She continued her education at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah. She married Percival (Perc) Gibson on November 23, 1937, in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Following the death of her mother in 1946, Gwen and Perc took her 4-year-old sister, Shannon, and raised her as their own. Gwen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Franklin Ward and Stake Young Women's presidencies, as ward Relief Society president, and as Sunday school coordinator and secretary. She was secretary of the Idaho Pioneer Association for almost 40 years, an officer in the Pink Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Gwen enjoyed entertaining, and was most happy when she was surrounded by her family and by her friends. She is survived by Shannon and her husband, Cleo Geddes of Idaho Falls; their children, Penni Allen of Fremont, Calif., Karri Tingey (Derek) of Grant, Idaho, Rich (Tammy) Geddes of Rexburg, Idaho, Julie (Chad) Adams of Waco, Texas; a brother, Lyle (UVonna) Nash of Franklin; and a sister, Oveda Alder of Salt Lake City, Utah; and five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Carter, Logan and Tanner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perc, who passed away July 28, 1980, her parents, and an infant sister, Marjorie. He was born October 24, 1920, in Weston, Idaho, the son of James Bertram and Mary (Grace) Brower. He married Wilda Manning on June 2, 1945, in Preston, Idaho. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on April 21, 1995. Thane retired from Salt Lake County in 1987. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted family man and was dearly loved by his family and friends. Thane had a passion for gardening and shared the fruits of his labor willingly with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved life, had a great sense of humor, and delighted in teasing. His passing will leave a void in many lives. She was born January 2, 1921, to Virgil and Olive Ann (Jenks) Manning in Preston, Idaho. She was raised and educated in Preston. She met Reid J. Harper while she was working at the Preston bakery. Dad told a friend, "that's the girl I'm going to marry." They were married January 16, 1942, in the Logan, Utah temple. To-gether they were blessed with five children, with the first one dying at birth. LuDean was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the church, and served three missions with her husband. She belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a graduate from the LDS Institute of Religion at ISU, and she spent many hours doing genealogy. She loved to read, cook, sew and garden. Most of all, she loved her family, and dedicated her life to them and to serving her Heavenly Father. He was born Nov. 30, 1921, to George Foster and Sarah Jane (Jennie) Fisher McDermott, in Clifton, the youngest of six children. He married Zenda Smith on Oct. 1, 1940, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. He was one of the last real cowboys. When neighbors had a job to do with cattle, he was the first one they called and he was always willing to help. He was noted for his good horses and good horsemanship. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held several leadership positions and was a faithful home teacher. He worked for the Forest Service for many years and was also a Range Rider. He also farmed and ranched. Lew owned and operated a hunting guide service and a guest ranch. He was known for his honesty and keeping his word. He is survived by his wife, Zenda, of 60 years, Clifton; eight living children, Bonnie (Melvin) Ball, Renton, Wash., Marilyn (Dick) Swainston, Preston, Idaho, Reta (Robert) Halverson, Roy, Utah, Michael (Meridee) McDermott, Tremonton, Utah, Nadine (Craig) Mangus, Santa Clara, Utah, Casey (Cindy) McDermott, Rigby, Idaho, Brenda (Jeffrey) Gundersen, Meridian, Idaho, and Jeffrey (Dani) McDermott, Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 8, 1963. Nelda loved being involved with her family and friends. Many hours were spent laughing and playing games. She supported her grandchildren in their activities. She took great pride in her flower garden. She made many beautiful quilts and afghans. Her most fun times were spent on trips taken with her sweetheart and close friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nelda belonged to the Preston Bridge Club, and was a member of the Preston Ladies Golf Association. She retired from Sears where she worked in sales. Over the years, she held many church positions in Young Womens, Primary, and Scouting programs. She loved the gospel and enjoyed teaching the youth. Kofoed Anderson, 77, died early Friday morning, September 15, 2000, at her home from cancer with her family present. The sixth child of Orson and Ercil Kofoed, she was born June 27, 1923, at Clifton, Idaho. She graduated from Clifton High School. She worked during World War II inspecting guns at the Arsenal in Ogden, Utah. She married Osmyn Earl Anderson, the man she sent off to war as a boy, November 23, 1945, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized later in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 6, 1965. He preceded her in death April 9, 1992. They lived in Clifton for the first ten years. They then moved to Paris, then to Nampa and settled in Pocatello in 1961. Mary worked for Lamb-Weston to help support her family and a missionary. She also worked for years at the Bannock County election polling booths. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Relief Society president, Young Women's president, visiting teacher, compassionate service leader and served in the Primary Presidency. She played basketball and baseball in school. She liked to arm wrestle with her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake, put up fruit and kept a beautiful home. She enjoyed watching tennis and volleyball. Mary sang at weddings, church functions and her own graduation. Above all, her favorite activities were family home evenings, special occasions and being surrounded by family. During their retirement years Mary and Oz loved to travel with friends and family. Mary is survived by her stepmother, Edna Kofoed Morrison of Williams, Calif.; two sisters, Bertha and Bern Mendenhall of Emmett; Narvie and Gerald Smith of Williams, California; one brother, Orson Ray Kofoed of Sacramento, Calif,; three sons, Kevin Drew and Michelle Anderson of Pocatello; Osmyn Kort Anderson of Pocatello; Kim and Jane Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Penny and Jerry Brackett, Turlock, Calif.; Lezlie and Mitch Simmons of Pocatello; Sandra and Jeffrey Roler of Pocatello; 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was born July 6, 1923, in Mink Creek, Idaho, a son of Oscar Lawrence and Martha Christine Petersen Wilde. He attended schools in Mink Creek. On Aug. 4, 1948, he married Donna Rae Attwood, in Idaho Falls. They lived in Pocatello for many years, where Reo was employed as a transport truck driver through the teamsters union. He drove for Safeways, Consolidated Freightways and retired from Garrett Freightlines in 1983. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also took great pride in his ranch near the Portneuf River North of McCammon. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Schevaneveldt Our wise and beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away September 8, 2000. We will deeply miss his sense of humor and wisdom. Darrell had a great love for nature's beauty and had a beautiful yard and garden. He loved spending time looking at the latest blooms in the gar-den, and sharing tomatoes with neigh-bors. He was a wonderful cook and loved cooking large meals and creating new dishes for his family. There was always room at the table for one more. Darrell was an exceptional speaker and teacher and lifted the hearts of family and friends. His sudden departure has left a void for all who knew and loved him. Darrell was born Sept 20, 1938, in Weston, ID to Verlan and Sylva (Taylor) Schvaneveldt. He grew up on a farm and as a young boy learned the value of a hard day's work done well. He served an LDS mission in the Netherlands in 1958. While on his mission Darrell met his future eternal companion, Carole Fuhriman. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple June 20, 1963. Darrell graduated from the University of Utah in 1964 and acquired his CPA license. Darrell managed a successful accounting practice, Schvaneveldt & Company, and enjoyed a wonderful relationship with his clients. As a young man he served in the Bishopric and as the Bishop of the Rosedale LDS Ward in Rose Park. God knew his own in Darrell, who was a compassionate Bishop that touched the lives of many. His service and friendship to Ward members continued long after Darrell left Rose Park and moved to Bountiful. Darrell and Carole have been blessed with six children and eight grandchildren who love their father and grandpa very much. Darrell found endless joy spending time with his grandchildren and sharing in their accomplishments. He is survived by his wife, Carole, and children, Laura Hadley, Mike, Stacy (Mark) Hadley, Kathy (Mike) Shappart, Gary and Steven; grandchildren, Blake, Kody, Tony, Dylan, Josh, Taylor, Meghan and Alex; mother, Sylva Bernklau, who he loves dearly and admires her strength in the face of adversity; sister, Linda (Lynn) Johnson; brother, Clifford (Bonnie); and many nephews and nieces. Darrell was preceded in death by his father Verlan and his sister Ada Gail.
