He was born Jan. 16, 1911, in Dayton, the son of Alma Larsen Jensen and Eldena Wilhelmina Ericksen. He operated the family farm until he retired in 1975. LaVor married the love of his life, Dorothy Robbins, on Sept. 19, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 1954. He married Barbara Shaffer Seamons in June of 1955; later divorced. He married Fern Richardson on June 1, 1976. Together they enjoyed traveling around the world with their friends. Fern preceded him in death on July 10, 1992. LaVor was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the Western States Mission, which led to his life being dedicated to serving in various capacities in the church. His great love was temple work where, for many years, he spent much time each week doing temple work. He spen t many hours helping and serving others, which included serving on the Dayton City Council. He loved his family and was a great example to his children and grandchildren and loved being with them. He is survived by children, Dwight LaVor (Louise), Afton Ferris (Robert, deceased), Eric, Ellen Turnbaugh (David), and Marie Yergensen (Tai); 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Katherine Gyllenskog. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff and residents of The Inn on Barton Creek in Bountiful for making LaVor’s last year and a half a pleasant experience. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at the Dayton Ward Chapel, Dayton, Idaho. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple on Oct. 1, 1952. She enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings. She especially enjoyed her calling as Young Women’s secretary. She loved all the girls and gave each one a book as she left the program. She enjoyed doing temple work and was the manager of the Bishop’s storehouse. She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Velna (Aldin) Swann, Preston; Ralph L. (Virginia) Hendrickson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; F. Lee (Maurine) Hendrickson, Preston; eleven grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; by a sister, Marie C. (Boyd) Forman, Kearns, Utah; and by a sister-in-law, Marintha (Al) Jorgensen, Cleveland, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis LeRoy Hendrick-son; by her parents; by four brothers, Calvin, Thomas, Ruland and Merlin; and by four sisters, Vetta, Viola, Ella and Dorla. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, in the Preston Third Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., with Bishop D. Byron Kelley conducting. She received her bachelor’s in 1949 and Masters of Public Administration in 1976 from Brigham Young University. Ruby was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Northern States from 1946 to 1948. She served as a stake missionary in San Diego and Dugway, and in various positions in Sunday School and MIA, as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years, and as a stake extraction missionary for 10 years. Ruby worked as a legal secretary, office manager and resource management director in Salt Lake City, San Diego and Dugway for private enterprises and the U.S. Government. She moved to Logan after her retirement in 1989 where she cared for her father until his death. She is survived by her sisters, Renee Richardson, Logan; Rosanne Schwartz, Orem, Utah; Marilyn (Allan) Corbett, Shelley, Idaho; Betty Schwartz (sister-in-law), Moore, Idaho; and her brothers, Eldon (JoAnne) Schwartz, Smithfield; Robert (Barbara) Schwartz, Rexburg, Idaho; Alan (Mary Ann) Schwartz, Rowland Heights, Calif; 32 nieces and nephews and 67 great-nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by all family members and will be remembered for her generosity to all. She was preceded in death by her mother, Belva, her father, Gottfried, her brother, Wayne, stepmother, Irene and two nephews. She was born Feb. 20, 1923, near Rifle, Colorado, the daughter of Heinrich and Katharine Michel Fech. She married Jim Corley of Rifle, Colorado, and they had a son, Darrell. They were later divorced. Corley passed away in 1982. She married Ernest Edward Swigert of Rifle, Colorado, on April 1, 1950. Ed preceded her in death in October of 2000. Ed and Elsie worked and lived in Rifle and Rangely, Colorado, Colville, Washington, and they settled in Preston, Idaho, in the early ‘50s. They lived in Preston the balance of their lives except for a few years in Malad. Ed worked as a lineman for Utah Power and Light while Elsie worked at retail and restaurants in the area. They enjoyed hunting and fishing in their youth. She is survived by her son, Darrell (Elaine Martin) Swigert, Meridian, Idaho; one brother and two sisters, Jake Fech, Rifle, Colorado, Irene Gray, Fresno, California, and Virginia (Jeannie) Berry, Oakland, California. She was preceded in death also by two brothers, Henry and Leo Fech. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston. On October 19, 1929, she married Willard Peterson in Paris, Idaho. They made their home in Inkom for many years. He passed away April 24, 1990. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, knitting and crocheting, and was an avid reader. Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Irving) Hackett, Verdi, Nevada; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, five sisters and a son. Graveside funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at 3 p.m. at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon. Dale was very active in Real Estate and in sales in California. He loved to work with the youth and served in many LDS Church callings including Bishop for the Young Adult ward in Vista. He devoted time to helping the members of the Church in Mexico. He loved to cook and spend time with his children and grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hull Manning, and his parents. In 1949, he went from the Army into continuous service in the National Guard. He served as motor sergeant and operations sergeant. He was then assigned as detachment sergeant for the 148th Special Forces Detachment where he instructed guerrilla warfare organization and tactics, retiring as 1st Sergeant. He was junior vice commander, post commander and region commander of the VFW. He was also employed at Hill Air Force Base from 1952 to 1984. He became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1953, and was involved with the scouting program. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Preston, Idaho; three sons and one daughter, Michael Rice, Clearfield, Utah; Scott Mooney, Preston; Wayne (Lisa) Mooney, Lincoln, Mont.; Kathy Gregory, Preston; by nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was born October 25, 2001, in Riverdale, Idaho, the daughter of Hyrum Wray and Christine Hilabar Larsen Smith. In her own words, Irene said, “She was born and raised in Riverdale, Idaho, just a wide spot in a dusty road. She attended Riverdale Grade School. Irene rode to school behind her big brother, Wendell, on a horse they called Fly. For her secondary education she traveled to Preston by way of a makeshift school bus. From a little country school Irene brought much wisdom and understanding to her educational career. She began teaching in Riverdale after receiving her teaching certificate from the USAC in Logan, Utah. After seven years in Riverdale, she taught fourth and fifth grades in Preston for five years, then moved to Idaho Falls where she finished her teaching career after 45 satisfying years of teaching. “She received a bachelor of science in education from USAC in 1946 and a master of science in secondary education from the same institution in 1949. She also attended classes in education at Albion Normal School, the University of Idaho, BYU, and California State Teachers College. “She has served as an officer in many of the educational organizations of which she has been a member, including president of Idaho Falls Education Association, chairman of the State Teachers Welfare Committee, vice president of the State Classroom Teachers Association, president of Sixth District IEA, president of State Classroom Teachers Association, president of Idaho Education Association, chairman of State Public Relations Committee, Northwest Regional Director, SEA Department of Classroom Teachers. “The spring of 1977 Irene and her sister, Cleone, moved back to spend their retirement together in the beautifully remodeled family home in Riverdale. They were so happy to be home again among old friends and family. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and after retiring, thoroughly enjoyed all of the Single Adult activities.” She is survived by two brothers, Wendell H. (Wavel) Smith and Eliot Wray (LaRue) Smith; and a sister, Cleone Kinney, all of Riverdale, Idaho; 9 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; a brother, Jean J. She was married to Douglas LaVerl Williams on March 5, 1948, at Paris, Idaho. They were later divorced. She was married to William Leal Oliver on June 8, 1974, at Thatcher, Idaho. She was a member of the Soda Springs LDS Fourth Ward and had served as a primary teacher. She had worked as a waitress, Tupperware sales and Avon sales. She was recognized in the Avon Honor Society and Presidents’ Club. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, coin collecting, playing Tripoli and pinochle, visiting friends and time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband, William Leal Oliver of Soda Springs; two sons and one daughter, Brad and Carolann Williams and Kent Williams of Green River, Wyo.; Patty and Terry Wilson of Twin Falls; also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother Norman Harris of Garland, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one daughter, Ronald Bryan Williams and Julie Kaye Williams. He was born November 10, 1905, in Weston, Idaho, a son of Alvin David and Emma Christina Jensen Crockett. When Henry was an infant, his family moved to Sparks, Nevada, for about four years. His family then moved to King HIll, Idaho, to homestead, and he attended school there. When he was 17 years old, he hired out with the Union Pacific Railroad as an apprentice boilermaker at Nampa. He moved to Pocatello in 1936. On July 16, 1939, he married Ruth Anna Shore in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. She passed away November 23, 1980. With the advent of diesel locomotives, Harry transferred to the store department. He retired in 1970 after 47 years of service with the U.P.R.R . He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, gardening and helping on his sister’s farm He also enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include: A son, Henry (Hank) Crockett, Pocatello; a daughter, Ann Feucht, Pocatello; two brothers, Alden W. Crockett (Florence), Pocatello, and Fred B. (Jan) Crockett, Mountain Home, Idaho; a sister, Oleah True, Mountain Home, Idaho; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Crockett; five brothers, Owen, Dave, Duard, Amos and Marvin; two sisters, Lillian and Audrey. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Pocatello LDS West Stake Center, Eldredge and Hawthorne, with President Dennis Cook of the Bannock Creek Branch officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and Tuesday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.

Hull, 82, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his home in Whitney, Idaho. He was born April 5, 1919, in Whitney, Idaho, the son of LeRoy and Allabell Weaver Hull. Her married Blanche Hiatt on Oct. 13, 1944, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was the Franklin County weed supervisor for many years. He served two LDS missions — one in the Southern states and the second with his sweetheart in Anchorage, Alaska. he served as bishop of the Mapleton Ward and enjoyed a lifetime of service. His love for his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, came first in his life. He enjoyed the outdoors — a life of ranching, hunting, snowmobiling, but mostly staying in his cabin on the hill. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife Blanche; six daughters and two sons and spouses, Tyra Lynn (H. Gene) Larsen of McCammon, Idaho, Lee Ann (Tom) Owens of Malad, Idaho, Joanne (Brent) Sharp, James Clair (Debra) Hull, Steven Bart (Cindy) Hull, all of Preston, Idaho, Kristene (Brad) Hyer of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen Marley of Preston, Idaho, and Beverly (JayDee) Cole of Preston, Idaho; 33 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Tyra Eichert of Preston, Idaho; brothers, Etmo-Eugene of Preston, Idaho; Gib-Gilbert Hull of Logan, Utah. He was preceded in death by a son, Kent; two grandsons, Nicholas James and Konnor Lorenzo Marley; brothers, Roland, Cat, Chick, Darrell, and a sister, Clarice. Ivan was born on Feb. 21, 1935 in Garland, Utah, to Mark Fredrick Davis and Ora Marie Reese Davis. He was raised in southern Idaho and graduated from Preston High School in 1953. Ivan was an outstanding athlete who lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track. Some of his athletic records have yet to be broken. He married Rena Brown in 1955, later divorced. In 1957, Ivan graduated from Utah State University having earned both an undergraduate and advanced degree in physical education. He was a member of the Aggie track and basketball teams as well as the ROTC program. Ivan served in the Idaho National Guard for a number of years, reaching the rank of captain. “Coach” Davis led the high school football, baseball and basketball teams of Burley and Preston, Idaho, to many victories in his 25-year tenure. Ivan also lov! ed teaching when not “on the field” coaching. More recently, Ivan was a Regional Director for Surety Life Insurance. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities, including bishopric member (Burley, Idaho) and high priest quorum leadership (Draper, Utah.) Ivan possessed a rare and powerfully positive attitude. His infectious zest for fun and bright smile touched the lives of all those with whom he came in contact. He is survived by his wife of almost five years, June Doman-Davis; two brothers, Dexter F. Davis (Kay), Malin M. Davis (Patty); five children Kim Walker (Tony), Kelly Davis (Trudy), Debra Christiansen (Steve), Kip Davis, Kris Davis (Wendie); five stepchildren, Carol Ann Haggard (Jeff), Lesia Doman, Darrin Doman, Brenda Doman, David Doman (Heather); and 23 grandchildren. A viewing will be held Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East in Sandy, Utah.
