She was born January 5, 1906, in Providence, Utah, the daughter of Andrew and Effa Amelia Jones Fuhriman. She married Joseph Adrian Wickham on Sept. 14, 1927, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1972. She enjoyed handwork and embroidery. She was noted for her cooking and baking, especially for her pies and cinnamon rolls. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many auxiliaries. She is survived by three daughters and one son, JoRene (Ray) White, Dillon, Montana, Phillip Wickham, Queen Creek, Arizona, Effa Jean (Ron) Olson, Glendale, Arizona, Karen (Dee) Martin, Rexburg, Idaho; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Royce (Ilene) Fuhriman, Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband, by a daughter, Martha Ann Wickham, and by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2002, at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, with Bishop Richard Westerberg conducting. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Franklin, Idaho Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 23, 1916, to Clark P. and Lila May Campbell Gray in Thatcher, Idaho. She joined a family of seven brothers and six sisters. She married Nahum J. Porter in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on Sept. 16, 1936, and they were the parents of four children, Terry (Arlene Balling) Porter, Weston, Idaho, Steven (Judy Garrett) Porter, Preston, Paula (David) Lemmon, Weston, Idaho, and Pegi (Larry) Huerta, Kent, Washington. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many ward and stake positions. She was MIA president, Relief Society president, MIA teacher, stake MIA board member and activities committee chairman. Her zest for life showed in all she did. She loved to dance, sing, and play the old-time songs on her piano. In her youth she never missed a dance — if she could find a way to get to it — and was always the belle of the ball. She was a beautiful seamstress, and loved to be with her lifelong friends. She was very involved in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. To her last day she was an avid Utah Jazz fan and sports enthusiast. She is survived by her husband; two sons, two daughters, 18 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen Tingey, Sacramento, California, and Carol Dillon, Atlanta, Georgia; and one brother, Floyd Gray, Corvallis, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, by six brothers and four sisters and by a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2002, in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. First South, with Bishop Robert Miller conducting. He was born on Nov. 20, 1923, in Smithfield to Thomas Henry Gittins and Katie Louise Stone Gittins. Albert spent his early years in Smithfield, where he attended school and then at the age of 16 moved with his family to Lewiston, where he spent the remainder of his years. He had a great love for farming and made this his profession along with working at the Del Monte plant in Franklin, Idaho. He loved being in the out of doors and especially fishing and camping with his brothers and sisters. He became an avid bowler, spending many years in leagues at the bowling alley in Preston, Idaho, where he made many friends and enjoyed those he bowled with. He was nominated to the PBA Hall of Fame in 1997. He was very proud of this award. He spent 3 years in the Marine Corps in World War II, never having a leave. He was always close to the areas of full combat. He is survived by three brothers and four sisters: Melvin Gittins, St. George, Utah; Loyal Gittins, Richmond, Utah; Viola Wright, Lewiston; Dora Boman, Layton, Utah; Annetta LaMont, Preston; Odell Gittins, Burley, Idaho; and Odean McCann, Smithfield; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Gittins, Wellsville, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. A family service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002 at noon at the Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield, with a family viewing at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. She was sealed in marriage to her eternal companion, George Tarrell Warner on April 20, 1927, in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 30, 1979. She rejoiced in her church callings and served her family, her neighbors, and strangers with spiritual gifts of compassion and love. She enjoyed serving others and always put everyone first over her needs. Her adoring posterity remember her for her example of goodness, teachings of truth and depth of testimony and love of her family. She is survived by three children, Ardell (Margaret) Warner, Mackay, Idaho;. She married Lloyd Pugmire on March 17, 1937. He passed away on December 12, 1937, two weeks before the birth of her first son. She later married Ferron Parley Nilson on June 20, 1940, in the Salt Lake City Temple. He died on November 1, 1997. They were blessed with two sons and two daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After their marriage they resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, Morenci, Arizona, Tremonton, Utah, Vale, Oregon, Twin Bridges, Montana, and Preston, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Primary many years, Young Women’s, and Relief Society as president and also secretary. She enjoyed being with Ferron on the farm and helped him when she could. She also enjoyed quilting and embroidering, which she shared with her family. She is survived by one son, Lloyd (Clarice) Nilson of Benjamin, Utah, and two daughters, Rella (Wendell) Hansen of Amalga, Utah, and Pam (Quinn) Corbridge of Preston, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Reese was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge #4018. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Glen had a great love for his work. She graduated as valedictorian from Jordan High School in 1933. She also attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked at Kress' Department Store and Utah Poultry before she served a mission in the Texas/Louisiana Mission. She married Merlin Dalley Stevenson on April 3, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple, and to this union was born six daughters and two sons. They spent their married years on a farm in Dayton, Idaho, where all their children were raised and taught to work. She was active in all the auxiliaries of the LDS Church, serving as President, Counselor, or a teacher. At age 14, she began her great interest in genealogy work and research which continued her whole life. She was West Side High School District secretary in Dayton, Idaho for 17 years. She is survived by LaJeane (Thomas E.) Lewis, Pleasant View, Utah; Carol (Darald R.) Austin, Preston, Idaho; David M. (Cherie) Stevenson, Bluffdale, Utah; Sharon (E. Reed) Perry, Logan, Utah; Kay (Monte C.) Moser, Whitney, Idaho; Garth E. (Robin) Stevenson, Dayton, Idaho; Raelene (Denis R.) Jepsen, Franklin, Idaho; 29 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; by a daughter, Donna, her parents; a step-mother, Selma; her sister, Estelle S. Matson, and by grandsons, Brian J. Perry and Gary M. Moser. Born to James D. and Ruth Curtis McGregor on September 14, 1924 in Mound Valley, ID. One of ten children, she was active in 4H in her youth. Married Myron Gerald Neuffer on March 17, 1943 in the Logan UT Temple. They were blessed with seven children, Myron David Nuffer, Memphis TN; John Gerald (Jenelle), Columbia MO; Gregory Wayne (Debbie), Memphis TN; Lewis Dale (Mary), Germany; Barbara Ruth, Grantsville UT; Peggy Hendrix (Larry), Auxvasse MO; Linda Chaston (John), Somersworth NH; and 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Margaret's life was her family, her church, her music and her genealogy. She diligently served many callings in her church. Margaret and Gerald served a one year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chicago temple in 1994. In the years following they served many hours in the St. Louis Temple. She shared her talent of music at church by teaching the children first. Later she was the chorister and choir director for her local Ward. She used her ability to teach, inspire and uplift those who listened. She has spent many hours researching, documenting and sharing family genealogy. Cemeteries and Family History Libraries in the United States and Scotland were some of her favorite haunting grounds. She is survived by her husband, children; two brothers and three sisters, Harriet Williams, Salt Lake City UT; Merna Clegg, Grace ID; Reed (Odessa), Thatcher ID; Wells (LaRene), Bend OR: Barbara (Lee) Hales, Logan UT. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers and two sisters, Dora Greaves, Blanche (McMaster) Raidy; Youngs McGregor and Glen McGregor. Martha was born November 13, 1918 in Franklin, Idaho, the eldest child of Lester and Laura Nash Atkinson. After graduation from high school, she moved to Salt Lake City for employment. She married Fred Palmer of Ogden, in 1940. He was killed in an automobile accident in 1942. Martha married Wilbur "Bill" Rosser in 1943, , a soldier stationed at Bushnell General Army Hospital in Brigham City. In 1947 they moved to "Q" Court in Washington Terrace, then on 5000 South where they built a small house on an acre of sand. This was home for 53 years, where many great gardens and memories were made. Bill died in March of 1990. She worked at Hill Air Force Base retiring in 1973, with most of her years in vehicle operations as a maintenance scheduler. Martha loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was active all her life. She served in many positions and especially enjoyed working with the young girls in M.I.A. and Relief Society. She attended the Ogden Temple as often as she could. She was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and had a deep love for her pioneer heritage. She was an attendant to the DUP Queen at the Days of "47 Rodeo in 1999. Martha always had a cheerful word and a smile for everyone. She had a kind heart and helped many in need. Her life was devoted to family and friends. She had a quick wit and a sense of humor that she maintained until the end. She had a love for life and loved the outdoors with all its natural beauty - sunsets, sunrises, mountains, hiking, camping, sight seeing and traveling. She loved her grandchildren and nurtured them as her own - always ready to help whenever possible. They will always love and remember their "Nan". Martha"s family wishes to thank the staff of Apple Village, Manor Care and Ogden Regional Hospital for their tender loving care. Many new friends were made, especially at Apple Village in Layton. Surviving are one daughter, Jean (Richard) Bingham, Layton; two sons, David (Sylvia), Kaysville; Stephen, Ogden; daughter-in-law, Donna Bush, Riverdale; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She loved her many friends of the Washington Terrace and Ogden areas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, both husbands, and one granddaughter. She was born Dec. 30, 1906, in Preston, the daughter of Frank Thomas and Emma Susan Bennett Merrill. She married Austin Earl Hollingsworth Aug. 27, 1924, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died Feb. 2, 1991. Blanche was active in civic and church callings all of her life. She served as Relief Society president and served and taught in all the auxiliaries. She served a mission with her husband in the Maine area. She was secretary of the Preston Chamber of Commerce, secretary for the Draft Board during World War II, served as a civil defense spotter during that time. She wrote a book, was published in the Ensign, Era and Relief Society magazines as well as commercial publications. She is survived by four children and spouses, Phyllis (keith) Bergquist, Roosevelt, Utah, Howard (Wyla) Hollingsworth, North Las Vegas, Nev., Paul M. (Kathleen) Hollingsworth, Provo, Utah, and Renee (William) Elder, Seattle, Wash., 31 grandchildren, 112 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Afton McCarrel, St. Anthony, Idaho, and Beth Kirwin, Provo, Utah. She is preceded in death by one grandchild and four brothers. After graduating from High School in Preston, Idaho, Gary served in the military from 1961 to 1967. He moved to Boise in 1976 and worked at Bob Rice Ford from 1976 until his retirement in 1994. Gary enjoyed working on and restoring classic cars, and received several awards and trophies during his incredible career. He was also blessed with marrying his best friend and lifelong companion, Tira MacDonald. Gary's life philosophy was that of a great caring spirit, he brought unconditional love and loyalty to all those who knew him. Gary loved his family and friends, of whom all have fond memories of a man who had a way of making all who knew him feel special. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Jacob Middleton and Skyler Jones. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Tira and children: sons, Robert M. (and Mindi) Jones, Dennis L. (and Tessa) Jones, and daughter, Renata (and Robert) Middleton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (and Marilyn) Jones, Alfred (and Clarene) Jones, Alvaro (and Beverly) Jones, and Troy (and Kathie) Jones and sisters, Mary Lue (and Delbert) Chandler and Ramona Barron. He was the oldest of five sons born to Louie and Julia Louisa Rubottom. He grew up on a wheat and cattle ranch. He was educated in one-room county schools and graduated from Russell Springs High School. With minimal training, he taught one year in the same elementary school that he attended as a child. He spent three years working in the CCC sending money home to help his family during the Great Depression. In the spring of 1937, he came to Utah where his uncles lived and worked. He investigated the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized in 1938. He met and courted Albertine Gerber. They were married on March 21, 1939, in the Logan LDS Temple. After living in Malad, Idaho where Julene was born, they bought a farm in Nibley where Katherine, Terry and Leon were born. Milking cows, putting up hay with his Farmhand hay stacker and growing crops for Del Monte kept him busy. In 1953, they bought a larger farm in Dayton, where Reed was born. Martin raised, sorted and sold potatoes and raised crops for Del Monte and feed for cattle. Martin loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and has been a devoted home teacher. He has served as a counselor in a bishopric and has served as a counselor in Elders’ and High Priests’ quorums several times. He loved playing church softball and served in MIA ward and stake positions. After selling the farm in 1978, he and Albertine served an LDS mission to the Washington Temple and later in northeastern Nebraska. They were faithful at attending the temple and ultimately served as temple officiators twice a week. His great love was family history searching compiling and submitting hundreds of names for his family. After the passing of Albertine, he married Cheryl Griffeth on Jan. 22, 2000, in the Logan LDS Temple. They shared two happy years together. Children are Julene and Harry Rindlesbacher (Amalga), Katherine Winger Pakradounian and Albert (Logan), Terry and Connie Allen Blau (Twin Falls, Idaho), Reed and Robyn Winger Blau (Richmond). His brothers in Kansas are Fredrick of Ashland, John of Leoti, and Charles and Joyce of Marienthal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Albertine Gerber, his brother, Hale, and his son, Leon. Martin enjoyed 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 in the Logan 14th Ward, 94 W. 600 South, Logan, with Bishop Daryl Reece conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dayton Idaho LDS Church and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church in Logan. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Eulala was active in her LDS ward. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She worked for many years with the Preston school district lunch program. She loved the children there, and also her many friends at the Senior Citizens Center. She was loving and kind to everyone who knew her. She was always more concerned about others than her own needs or problems. Her family was her most precious treasure. She will be greatly missed by her son, Leon, and wife, Lynn, of Bountiful, Utah; by her daughter, Elaine, and husband, Tim Hobbs, of Franklin, Idaho; and by her eight grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, by her parents, by two brothers, Roy and Paul Condie, two sisters, Bessie England and Olive Larsen. Her family wishes to express their thanks to all who assisted her in her home and at the Franklin County Nursing Home. She bravely met the challenge of cancer, like she met many challenges in her life, with a quiet determination, style and class. She enjoyed life to the very end. Her final hours were spent surrounded by those she loved, even her beloved kitty “Pierre.” She was born Aug. 18, 1944, in Franklin, Idaho to Victor Lowe Dunkley and Elaine Kent Dunkley. She had a happy childhood with her sister, Dixie and brother, Kent. After graduating from Preston High School she attended Utah State University and earned a teaching degree. She quickly put her education to good use in her first teaching assignment in Riverside, Calif. It was in Riverside where she met Richard Medina. They were soon married and were blessed with two daughters Lezlee and Lori. She raised her children with nurturing and love. She shaped their lives with her quiet elegance. Paulette made many friends in her community of Redlands, especially in the field of education. She was an elementary school teacher for the Redlands Unified School District for 22 years. Paulette loved teaching and was committed to a life of service and giving of her time and many talents. Nothing gave her more pleasure than teaching those beautiful students and watching their personalities develop. She leaves behind a great legacy as seen in the happy productive lives of the many students she taught at Smiley Elementary School. Paulette was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Richard Medina; her daughters, Lezlee Medina-Shaughnessy and Lori Medina; her kitty, Peirre; her mother, Elaine Dunkley; her brother, Kent Dunkley; and her sister, Dixie Hunsaker. She is preceded in death by her father, Victor Lowe Dunkley. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at the Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho at noon. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home, Logan.
