Mrs. Nielsen was born April 24, 1914, at Manti, Utah, the daughter of Fredrick Irven and Margaret Ann "Maggie" Thomas Lowry. Margaret was raised and educated in Manti, graduating from Manti High School in 1932. She was married to Raymond L. Nielsen June 14, 1938, in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Nielsen passed away Feb. 25, 1964. Margaret and Raymond lived in Centerfield, Utah, where she lived for 52 years. She moved to Bancroft in 1990. She was a member of the Bancroft LDS Ward. She was grateful for her ancestry, and her posterity was left with priceless genealogy. She loved sharing family histories with her children and grandchildren. Margaret had a gift and ambition to make everything beautiful around her. She loved beautiful flowers, and enjoyed working in her yard. Margaret enjoyed feeding the birds and spending hours watching them as they added to the beauty of her surroundings. She sewed, crocheted and created many types of lovely hand work. Many members of her family still treasure the beautiful quilts and afghans she made for them. Margaret is survived by one son and two daughters and their spouses, Douglas and Anita Nielsen of Cedar Hills, Utah, LaRae and Gary Hatch of Bancroft and Suzanne and Dale Cornelius of Cedar City, Utah; also 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Kenneth Christensen conducting. The family will meet friends on Friday evening, June 10 ,from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, and at the Bancroft LDS Chapel on Saturday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Manti Cemetery in Manti, Utah, with graveside services at 5:30 p.m., on Saturday. The services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
