Wayne was born Feb. 6, 1920, the son of Carl Raymond and Lily Rose Fowler Peck. Wayne married Elaine Robbins on May 24, 1941, at Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Elaine passed away May 16, 2000. He has been a lifelong resident of the Grace area where he has farmed and also was a potato inspector. For two summers he worked in Southern California as a federal fruit and vegetable inspector. He was a high priest in the Williams LDS Ward, where he has served as Elders' Quorum president, Priest Quorum advisor. Wayne and his wife, Elaine, had served as MIA dance directors for many years. He had served on the Caribou County TV board, past member of the Caribou County Posse and had been an Idaho state potato inspector for three years. He enjoyed working and draft horses. Wayne is survived by one son and one daughter, Clinton and Cheri Peck and Karla Dawn Peck, all of Grace; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Darwin and Gloria Peck, Pocatello. Wayne was also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers, Naomi Williams, Fae Lugo Perez, Dee Peck and Carlos Peck. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the Williams LDS Ward chapel, with Bishop Neil Hubbard officiating. The family will meet friends on Friday evening, June 3, 2005, at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs from 7 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the Williams Ward chapel from 11:30 until 12:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Lago Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere thanks, especially to Dr. John Obray and the nursing staff at the Caribou Memorial Hospital for the loving care and concern to Wayne and to Dr. Russell Hirst of Lewiston, Utah, for a lifetime of care.
