She was born May 9, 1924, in Grace, Idaho, the daughter of John and Myrtle Ireta Knight Rassmussen. On Dec. 23, 1945, she married Robert Ray Scott in Soda Spring, Idaho. They were later divorced. She moved to Blackfoot from the Bancroft, Idaho, area in 1952. Lucile was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked as a cook at the State Hospital South for about 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and being with her grandkids. She is survived by sons, Terry (Wendy) Scott, Lynn Scott, Shane Scott and Steve Scott, all of Blackfoot; daughters, June (Paul) Clark of Blackfoot, and Joann Scott of Pocatello; brother, Leonard Rasmussen of Soda Springs; sister, Irene Muller of Reno, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Fred, Leroy, Dewey and Leo and a sister, Verda. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening, May 20 from 7 to 9 p.m., and for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at 4 p.m. at the Turner Cemetery in Turner, Idaho.
