    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: frichberg Surnames: Fleetwood, Wallace, Swanstrom, Soper, Classification: birth Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.idaho.counties.bonner/488.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, Mary Kay, Cedric is my dad, so I'm glad to update this info based on birth and death certificates, which I have. Some of this is incorrect. The birthdate of April 5, 1918 for Cedric is correct. However, he died May 6, 1990 in Seattle. Rosetta died on October 5, 1926 in Sandpoint. She had older children from previous marriage to Memory Wallace. These include Clem (whom I met) and an older sister. To Arthur Fleetwood, she gave birth to Valentine, George, Howard, Muriel, Cedric Harold (on birth certificate as Harold Cedric), Donald, and Madeline. I believe only Donald and Cedric were raised at the Hutton Settlement in Spokane. Howard and Muriel were raised by Otto and June Swanstrom in Sandpoint and Howard took the name Swanstrom. Muriel married a number times, finally Nickels and she eventually moved to Humansville, MO where she passed away. Madeline Fleetwood (later Jewett) was adopted by a family and still lives in Portland (we just had Thanksgiving dinner wit! h her as a matter of fact). Rosetta subsequently married Ed Soper and is buried as Rosetta Soper in Sandpoint Idaho (I have a rubbing of the grave stone). Feel free to contact me if you have more questions and I would be glad to put you in touch with the family that still remember these events farther back, Don Lee Swanstrom (Howard's son) and Madeline Jewett, the last of that generation of this family still living. 1. [IDBONNER] Lewis Carlette Parker & Mary Susan (Kanuit) Parker family
    2. Constance Shotts
    3. I am interested in learning more about the family of Lewis Carlette Parker and his wife Maria/Mary Susan Kanuit/Kaniut Parker. Lewis Carlette Parker was born 9 January 1871 in Wyoming County, New York, and he married Mary Susan Kanuit (born 5 April 1871 in Minnesota) on 3 January 1901 in Ortonville, Minnesota. They had a daughter, Ruth Martha Parker, born 16 May 1902, in Swift County, Minnesota. Sometime after her birth, they moved to Mountrail County, North Dakota, and lived there until sometime between the 1920 and 1930 censuses when they moved to Bonner County, Idaho. Mary Susan (Kanuit) Parker died in 1926. It appears that Ruth Martha Parker was their only child, although it does appear that Lewis Carlette Parker adopted or took in another child, as there is a boy (Robert L. Parker, born about 1922) identified in the 1930 census as adopted and in the 1940 census as grandson. In the 1940 census, Ruth Martha Parker is listed in the Lewis Parker household under the name Ruth Colomb, and is identified as widowed. Lewis Carlette Parker died 1 April 1946 in Sandpoint, Bonner County, Idaho. He and Mary Susan are listed as buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Sandpoint, Bonner County, Idaho. I have been unable to locate a death record for Mary Susan Kanuit Parker in either North Dakota or Idaho. I also have not found a marriage record for Ruth Martha Parker. Based on census records, it would appear that Ruth Martha Parker married between 1930 and 1940 to a man surnamed Colomb, who died before 1940. I believe she may have married a second time after 1940, perhaps to a man surnamed Hart (based on SS Death Index info). I am interested in learning more about Ruth Martha Parker and Robert L. Parker, especially who they married and if they had any children. Constance T. Shotts
