    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Rowley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hd.2ADI/1116.1 Message Board Post: The family of George and Eliabeth Rowley: 1860 Lehi, Utah County, Utah 1870 Ogden Valley, Weber County, Utah 1880 Bennington, Bear Lake County, Idaho 1900 Soda Springs, Bannock County, Idaho George Rowley (b. Oct 1832 England) Elizabeth Rowley (b. bef 1826 England) children: Alice Rowley Martha Rowley (b. 1849) George Rowley (b. 1858 Utah) Daniel Hall Rowley (b. Jan 1864 Utah) m. Sarah Ann Horsley Notes: Alice married George Henry Smith (b. 1838 England) in early 1860's. George worked on the Bozeman trail and was gone alot, so the children lived with Alice and her parents. You can see the children living with the Rowley's in 1870 Weber County, Utah. They are George H. Smith Jr (1863) and Elizabeth "Lillie" Smith (1865) of Utah. Lillie married Robert H. Benbrooks in Bear Lake County and they migrated from there to Utah to Wyoming and eventually to Montana next to her father George Sr. Smith. George Henry Smith Sr. settled in Gallatin County, Montana where his two children eventually lived too. My guess is that Elizabeth "Lillie" Smith is also living with the Rowley's on the 1880 Bennington, Bear Lake County, Idaho Census although it is written as: Rowley, Elizabeth (age 13 UT). Afterall, I do have her marriage certificate to Mr. Benbrooks in Bear Lake County in 1882, so it would seem likely that this was Elizabeth Smith. If this is the same family you are doing research on, then let me know. Afterall, I descend from R.H. and Elizabeth Benbrooks and I am from Montana. I have alot of documentation if you are interested. Sidenote: you say that Elizabeth's mother Alice remarried and was living in Montana w/her two son's George Henry and David Hyrum. I see both those individual living with Rawley family in Weber County, UT in 1870. However, it was transcribed as George H and Daniel H. I do see son George Henry Smith living w/his father George Henry Smith Sr. on the 1880 Gallatin County, MT Census so it could be likely that mother Alice was close bye. Jayme
