He was from Montpelier and is buried in Flanders Field Cemetery in Belgium. He died of wounds received in action November 5th, 1918 – six days before the end of the war. Perhaps a Roll of Honor book of the county was made or something was published in the newspapers some time after his death ? Check with the local library in Montpelier. There is a memorial built on the grounds of the City lawn. Though it has been fifty years since I was there it should still be standing If the political people have not had it removed.
