She was born October 5, 1935, the daughter of Hyrum Elon and Alberta Ardeena Daniels Foster. She married Edward Eugene Minnig October 29, 1950, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He passed away December 30, 2000. Daphne was a member of the Ogden LDS Third Ward. She loved all kinds of handiwork and was very talented in crocheting, knitting and embroidering. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by her family and friends. Daphne is survived by four sons and one daughter and their spouses, Edward (Lu-Anne) Minnig, Sandy, Utah, Duane (Annette) Minnig, Stephen (Wanda) Minnig, all of North Ogden, Utah, Charles (Sheri) Minnig, Soda Springs, Idaho, and Betty (David) Shupe, Dekalb, Ill. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy J. Stewart. Daphne had many wonderful friends who would look in on her to see if she was doing all right. She did so appreciate their concern and loving gestures on her behalf. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, at noon at the Soda Springs LDS Fifth Ward Chapel, Third East and Fourth South, with Bishop Paul Kowallis officiating. Family will meet with friends on Friday evening, March 16 at the Lindquist Mortuary in North Ogden from 6 to 8 p.m. Also, friends may call on Saturday at the Fifth Ward Chapel in Soda Springs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Nounan Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
