She was born on March 17, 1918, in Weiser, Idaho, to Charles and Stella Spicer Stone. She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1936. She married Reuben Walter on April 12, 1940, in Twin Falls, Idaho ,and they ranched in Springfield, Idaho, until 1948 when they bought a ranch at Border, Wyoming. After her husband could no longer work they sold the ranch and moved to Montpelier where she has lived until she had to go to an assisted living center in Pocatello about a year ago. Blanche is survived by four children, LeRoy (Maryann) Cobbley of Auburn, Wyoming, Robert (Claudia) Walter, and Judy Christensen, both of Pocatello, and William Walter of Roy, Utah, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Glenn Stone of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one sister Gladys. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 12 noon in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel in Montpelier where friends may visit with family that morning from 11 until 11:45 a.m. The interment will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
