She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her companion, George Cook Palmer in 2003, by a seven-week-old son, George Allred, and by her sister, Louanna Wallentine. Yvonne was born October 24, 1918, in Paris, Idaho, to Lester A. and Jennett Ringel Allred. She grew up in Paris and graduated from high school there. She married her high school sweetheart, George Palmer, on October 24, 1937. They were blessed with four sons, George Allred, Tarrel R., Craig Lester and Roger Kim. She loved spending time with her family and was the most loyal and enthusiastic fan possible at anything in which they were involved. Yvonne and George enjoyed participating with the Bear Lake Rangers for many years. She was also very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the MIA, Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society. She worked several years for J.C. Penney Company. Yvonne and George traveled a lot after his retirement and especially loved spending time with their children and their families. She is survived by her three sons, Tarrel R. (Diane) Palmer, Craig L. Palmer and Roger Kim Palmer, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. in the Paris Stake Center. Friends may visit with family on Monday evening at Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at the church in Paris from 10 until 10:45 a.m. The interment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
