She was born January 20, 1948, in Pocatello, Idaho, to LaVere M. and Barbara J. Myers Newman. Linda is survived by her three children, Thomas (April) of Boise, Idaho, and Heidi, and Derek, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; one grandson, William Jonathan; her mother, Barbara Jean Newman of Montpelier; three brothers, Douglas (Jamie), Daniel and Phillip (Kathy); and one sister-inlaw, Sandy Newman. She was preceded in death by her son, Devin Widdekind; her father, LaVere Newman; and her brother, Michael Newman. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, April 6, at 1 p.m. in the Montpelier Stake Center. Friends may visit with family at Matthews Mortuary on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
