She was born on July 10, 1922, at Soda Springs, the daughter of William “Bill” and Nellie Yost Blackburn. Tiny married Oscar Christensen August 10, 1940, in Soda Springs. He passed away on July 6, 1984. She was raised and attended school in Conda and Soda Springs. She had lived at Conda, Idaho, for 16 years, Soda Springs for 30 years, Henry, Idaho for 19 years, and Georgetown for 16 years. She operated the Henry Store for many years. Tiny was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a lifetime member and president for five years of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, a member of the American Legion auxiliary and Royal Neighbors. She had served as chairman of the Conda Reunions. She enjoyed reading, embroidering, fishing, flower gardening and playing games with her grandchildren. Tiny is survived by a son, Ronald Christensen, Forsyth, Georgia; and daughters, Chris and Jerry Denham, Pleasanton, Texas, and Nadine and Jimmie Price, Georgetown, Idaho. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marion Cluff and Wilma Ranson, and a son, Steve Christensen. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 15, at 2 p.m., at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. Friends may call from 12:30 to time of services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
