Surnames: Fife, Baron, Allen, Neilson Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hd.2ADI/1529 Message Board Post: The Herald Journal, 09/08/05 Donoven Kimball Fife, our beloved husband and father, returned to our Heavenly Father on Sept. 7, 2005.Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Guy and Emma Baron Fife, he was the fourth of six children. He was preceded in death by his son, Don Alma Fife; his first wife, Frankie Allen; his parents; his brothers, John, James and Lavell Fife; and his sisters, Vilate (Fife) Coles and Ida (Fife) Aders. In 1943, he served his country by joining the Navy and was stationed in the Pacific Theater during World War II. It was at this time he was diagnosed with an illness which caused temporary paralysis. This caused an early discharge due to his condition, and he was sent home. He lived most of his life in Idaho, where he was introduced to and soon married his second wife, Lorna Neilson. They began their family of four, Edwin Guy Fife (Katy) of Panguitch, Utah, Michael Andrew Fife of Salt Lake City, Don Alma Fife (deceased) and Darla Fife Steed (Eddie) of Providence. He had six grandchildren, Michael Andrew Fife II (Jamie) of Cleyburn, Texas, Tyler and Giles Fife of Panguitch, Chantel Steed of Logan and Jacob and Joshua Steed of Providence. He was also a proud great-grandfather of one, Marlie Lenore Lindley of Logan. He worked most of his life in the mines in surrounding areas of Idaho. He had been a resident of St. Charles, Idaho, for 40 years.He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who might need his help. He lived a full and happy life and will be missed by anyone who ever knew him. We love and miss you 'til we meet again.Funeral will be held in St. Charles, Idaho, on Saturday, Sept. 10.
