He was born March 15, 1939, in Portland, Oregon, to Horace Flynn and Alta June (Stoner) Robbins. He was raised in Caldwell, Idaho, and graduated from Caldwell High School. He married Janice Marie Schimmels (July 18, 1940 to April 6, 1994), on March 1, 1959, in Caldwell. He served in the United States Air Force. He lived in Bennington for the past 17 years. He was retired after over 25 years of work on the Union Pacific Railroad as a road machinist. Prior to that, he managed his own businesses, an American and a Chevron service station. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, working with heavy equipment and helping his neighbors and friends. He is survived by his mother, Alta June Robbins of Montpelier, Idaho; three children, Michael Dale Robbins and his wife, Teri, of Peoria, Arizona, Debbie Marie Robertson and her husband, Stan, of Flower Mound, Texas, Robert Duane Robbins and his wife Lisa, of San Martin, California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held at the Bennington church on Saturday, January 6, at 11 a.m. in Bennington, Idaho.
