He married Ambernell Mumford September 25, 1947 in Randolph, Utah and that same year they moved to Clearfield, Utah. He was a flight line supervisor at Hill Air Force Base. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to yard sales and loved to hunt, fish and spend time in the outdoors. He was a great tomato gardener. Surviving are five sons: Melvin (Susan) Krusell, Syracuse; Terry (Pam) Wixom, Clearfield; Glenn (Cindy) Wixom, Roy; Grant (Maria) Wixom, Belfair, Washington; and Bart Wixom, Winnemucca, Nevada; 16 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Max was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Ovid, Idaho Cemetery. Friends and family may attend the viewing Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Interment, Ovid, Idaho Cemetery.
