He was born October 2, 1927, at Bloomington, Idaho, the son of Earl David and Sarah Elizabeth Quinton Thornock. Ralph was raised and educated in the Paris Idaho area, and had also lived in Cokeville, Wyoming, finally settling in Grace in 1968. Ralph married Connie Mae Pope September 4, 1954, in Cokeville, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple; they were later divorced. Ralph married Ruthine Jane Christensen November 16, 1984, in Preston, Idaho. He was a retired operator at Stauffer Chemical in Wyoming. Ralph was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also worked in Wyoming for Petersons as a hunting guide. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and mechanics. Ralph is survived by his wife, Ruthine Thornock, of Grace; and sons, Roy David and Trudy Thornock, Afton Wyo., Franklin Gene and Stacey Thornock, Pocatello, Idaho, George Donald and Molly Thornock, Pocatello, Idaho, Richard Melvin and Glenda Thornock, Washington, Larry Wayne and Teresa Thornock, Etna, Wyo., Eddie and Melissa Comer, Pocatello, Idaho, and Clark Tayler, Florida; also daughters, Bonnie Mae and Ken Potter, Ethel and Anthony Senn, Sarah Raelynn Thornock and Mauro De la Rosa, all of Grace, Idaho, Penny Hurrerous, Salt Lake, Utah, and Candy Jane and Quinn Fisher, Boise Idaho. Also surviving are 48 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by sons, Ralph Robert Thornock, Sidney Benjamin Thornock, a daughter, Ruth Ruby Comer, and a granddaughter, Hilary Dawn Thornock. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 6 at 11 a.m. at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center.
