Eborn, 50, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Paris, Idaho. He was born Jan. 8, 1956, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Weldon and Fern Larsen Eborn. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Paul married his sweetheart, Carol Mattson, Sept. 20, 1974, in Paris, Idaho. After high school he worked in the mining industry in Soda Springs. He served as the ditch master for the relief canal for many years and was employed by P.P.S. Company. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. His spunky personality and fun sense of humor touched the lives of all he came in contact with. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to the things in life he loved, raising steers, his yearly garden and yard are all things in which he took great pride. During the winter months he enjoyed snowmobiling and plowing snow for the neighbors. He looked forward to the snow melting so he could plant his garden and enjoy the beautiful seasons to come. He loved the outdoors and looked forward to yearly camping trips with his family and friends. He loved Dutch oven cooking, 4-wheeling and the smell of nature all around him. He was a master of woodworking and built many priceless treasures for his family and close friends. He enjoyed fishing Bloomington streams and at the Bear Lake. His passion in the fall was up in Green Basin where he and ‘the boys’ would gather in ‘the tent’. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carol of Paris, his son Josh (Lisa) of Paris, two daughters, Tausha (Jay) Passey of Paris, Jesse (Jube) Kunz of St. Anthony, Idaho; his father, Weldon, and step-mother, Phyllis, of Paris; one brother, Leon (MaryAnn) of Paris; one sister, Lois (Lance) Brown of Sandy, Utah; three grandchildren, Haylee and Jace Eborn and Caitlin Passey, and several nieces, nephews and several friends.
