Nate Gardner, 87, joined her husband and eternal companion on Thursday, June 2, 2005, two days before her 88th birthday, as she passed away at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility in Montpelier. She was born June 4, 1917, to Leo Sampson and Mildred Hannah Dayton Nate in Dingle, Idaho. She married Lester George Gardner on April 5, 1935. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Dec. 13, 1954. To this union two daughters were born, Nadine and Gail. She was a Primary teacher and a councilor and teacher in the Mutual organization. She was an active and honorary member of the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an LPN for 28 years, blessing the lives of many Bear Lake residents. Nea loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. She loved quilting, crocheting, and embroidering, and her family enjoyed receiving many of these handmade gifts. However, her greatest joy and achievement was her posterity.
